Coming to Jesus as a child means approaching Him with open hands, trusting hearts, and no pretense. Children don’t try to earn love or prove worth; they simply come because they know they are welcomed. Jesus invites us to that same simplicity — to lay down our fear, our striving, our self‑protection, and to rest in His arms with confidence. When we come as children, we discover the joy, safety, and freedom that only His love can give.

Forgiving yourself begins with believing what Christ has already declared over you: “It is finished.” When you cling to guilt that He has already paid for, you’re carrying what the cross has already removed. Self‑forgiveness isn’t pretending you never sinned — it’s agreeing with God that the debt is canceled, the shame is covered, and you are fully restored by grace. When you release yourself, you honor the One who purchased your freedom.

At the cross, Jesus didn’t make a down payment on your forgiveness — He paid the entire cost in full. Every sin, every failure, every hidden wound was laid on Him, and His sacrifice satisfied the justice of God completely. He paid it all. You don’t have to live in fear, penance, or spiritual debt. Jesus continues to forgive us when we ask.

Forgiving others is not an option but a necessity. Our heavenly Father requires we forgive others to be forgiven of our sins. Jesus says that. You’re not releasing them because they deserve it — you’re releasing them because it harms you if you do not. Forgiveness doesn’t excuse the wrong; it breaks the chain that keeps you tied to it. When you extend grace, you reflect the heart of Jesus, who forgave His enemies even as He hung on the cross.
